Amble’s Ramble

It was an active day yesterday with sever storms slamming northern Missouri with all forms of severe weather.  Here’s a look at the latest damage report:

On a lighter note. The criss cross markings on my lawn are looking good. This is a view from my front door showing a lawn that looks more like the middle of May than the middle of June.  The recent rains have area lawns looking lush and if you trimmed your grass over the past couple days you’re lucky. I have neighbors who couldn’t get that accomplished so the grass is really tall and with rain in the forecast every day for the next week we may not be able to mow again for perhaps nine or ten days. Even longer than that if the soil stays spongy. We may have waist high grass in the area by the end of next week. And it’s really no ones fault.

There are times when mowing a wet lawn can be better than letting it go, I’ll tackle that next week if the rains indeed come as expected.
