Hallie’s Hints: Soggy Weekend Ahead

I’m almost starting to feel like a broken record… another weekend… more rain in the forecast. In fact, this morning, we already have a few scattered showers around the area.

Rain chances will increase this evening, overnight and into the first part of the work week.

With so much rain over the past month, it’s no surprise that flooding and flash flooding remain a high concern. At this time, no Flash Flood or Flood Watches are in place for our area. This is a difficult weather pattern to pinpoint exactly where and when the heaviest rain will fall which is why the National Weather Service is holding off on issuing any watches at this time.

It’s not going to rain the entire weekend, but if you have outdoor activities planned, you might want to have an indoor “plan B” just in case.

Several inches of rain will be possible through the first part of the work week. If you live in flood prone areas, make sure you stay weather aware through the weekend.

Finally a break in the unsettled weather pattern is headed our way as early as the middle of next week. Hopefully we’ll have a bit of time to dry out before more rain moves in by… you guessed it… next weekend.

Have a GREAT weekend!
