Hawila’s Heads-Up: Monday Outlook

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are blossoming across the area this afternoon and evening and moving NNE. We’ve already seen a few showers and storms rumble across the metro and more rain is possible tonight. Here’s a look at CityCam from Lawrence where the winds picked up and rain was falling shortly after 4:00 this afternoon.

A view of LivePower Doppler shows the showers and storms this afternoon. Again, these are pushing NNE so rain chances will continue to climb this evening. if you’re heading out for a dinner or movie, bring the umbrella because we’ll be dodging raindrops over the next several hours.

Looking ahead to Monday:

This unsettled pattern just won’t go away! Just like Sunday, I do NOT expect Monday to be a washout of a day, but more scattered showers and thunderstorms will be dancing across the area. This includes a chance for rain on your way to, and from, work. High temps Monday will approach 80°.
