Suchan Says: 7:25pm Update on Rain and Thunder

Evening rain in progress

Evening rain in progress

While there is NO severe risk this evening, soggy conditions will dominate our evening through 9pm to 10pm before gradual drying kicks in.  As we head into tonight’s forecast, there is still a rain chance but the likely area to see pop up showers or a couple overnight t-storms will be in the northern half of the viewing area as a warm front lifts north.

I do not expect severe storms overnight even if you do hear a little thunder.

Saturday starts with a few showers or a t-storm but mainly to the north. Gradually into the afternoon we’ll see drier and hotter air push in for partly sunny skies and temperatures climbing to near 91.

The heat only intensifies Sunday into Monday with highs reaching the mid 90s Sunday and mid to upper 90s on Monday.  Heat index values will push to 105+ in the area and after our recent record cool weather, it will fee THAT MUCH hotter!
