Suchan Says: Midweek Wednesday Forecast

My gosh, what a Tuesday we had across the area!!  Temperatures reached into the low 80s with very low humidity levels resembling a Canadian summer day.  Certainly not the typical Kansas City blast furnace we come to expect in late July!!

Wednesday is looking more and more like an encore performance of Tuesday’s great weather!  Latest charts I’ve been combing through strongly suggest an area of showers and thunderstorms to our south tomorrow will stay further south than original expectations.  End result, I’m lowering rain chances to an isolated 20% chance with emphasis on our southern counties in the viewing area and going completely dry north of I-70.

High temperatures should run close to 83 after an unseasonably cool start to the day.

Here are some forecast cloud and radar images through the day Wednesday.  Sure, we’ll see times of clouds but also breaks of sunshine and notice the paltry coverage of rain through the day.

Thursday will gradually turn the corner into a more familiar pattern as we’ll see another round of scattered thunderstorms develop late at night into sunrise for at least a chunk of the area.  During the day, rain chances will dip toward an isolated rain chance as breaks of sun mix in.  I have a 40% chance of showers or thunderstorms Thursday favoring the first half of the day going isolated 20% chance by late afternoon to early evening.
