Suchan Says: More Great Summer Weather!

Another night of cool weather will set in across the area as temperatures fall to the lower to mid 60s late.  Skies will clear entirely across the area which times beautifully for the Perseid meteor shower which peaks tonight.  Up to 60 – 100 / hour are possible in the middle of the night.  Of course, the only way you’d see anywhere near 100 an hour is to get away from city lights into very dark countryside.

Sunshine dominates the day Thursday with fair weather cumulus clouds again bubbling up during the day.  Highs will reach the upper 80s for most with still tolerable humidity levels.

Thursday night into Friday morning will have a weak frontal boundary sagging toward the area from Nebraska.  At this time, all indications point toward dry weather across our area but a few showers or storms will be possible off to our northwest in Nebraska and Iowa.

Our next meaningful chance for a few storms arrives next Monday (20% chance).
