Teachman’s Take: Quiet Stretch Of Weather Ending Soon

A few sprinkles cannot be ruled out this evening along the Missouri/Iowa state line. Otherwise, mainly sunny skies with warm temperatures near 80. Overnight, clouds will crowd. A shower or two is possible mainly Thursday morning. The rest of the day looks quiet and warm in the lower 80s.

For Friday, a storm system will travel just to our north. A couple of rounds of storms are possible. One in the morning – and a second anytime from noon to early evening. Right now, I cannot rule out a marginally severe storm with hail/gusty winds although lightning will be the biggest concern at this point. Highs will remain in the lower 80s.

Heat returns over the weekend with lots of sunshine. Highs are back into the upper 80s and lower 90s from Sunday through Wednesday. We’ll have to watch the remnants of Erika as models want to move it westward – potentially into northern Missouri/Iowa by the end of the work week.

Take care,

Teach
