Suchan Says: 9:45pm Storm Update

A Severe T-Storm Watch is now in effect for the Kansas City metro and areas to the south for large hail and strong wind gust potential as storms move through over next 3 to 5 hours.

Storms over the metro have been producing flash flooding, some wind damage and hail along with frequent lightning.  Storms to the southwest of the Kansas City metro are showing an ominous bowing signature indicative of potential damaging straight-line wind gusts heading toward Franklin, Anderson, Miami and Linn Counties in Kansas.

The worst of these storms will push through the area over the next 2 to 3 hours with gradual improvements tonight.
