Hawila’s Heads-Up: Warmer Soon

A stubborn deck of clouds moved into the metro earlier in the afternoon and didn’t advance much further west until after sunset. Check out the relationship between who saw the clouds move in and who didn’t. Middle 50s for many MO counties, but it was still in the 60s for our KS counties.

We are leaving behind a rather cool and overall pleasant weekend and looking ahead to a warmer week. The last few days brought temperatures requiring a light jacket for much of the day! The Monday morning commute will require a jacket as well. Temperatures this evening are in the low to mid 50s across the area and those numbers will only fall a few more degrees by daybreak. Low 50s and upper 40s for the early morning risers and commuters.

Warmer air is on the way for the week ahead. Mid and even upper 70s to near 80° will move into the area after Monday. The next and only chance of rain this week moves in Thursday as a cold front will slide though the area. It won’t bring significant, widespread rain with it, but scattered rain is likely.
