Hallie’s Hints: Breezy Winds + Low Humidity = High Fire Danger Sunday & Monday

The clouds have rolled in this morning keeping our temperatures in the 40s and 50s.

It’s going to be a slow process to clear the skies today, but we will eventually get back into more sunshine later this afternoon. Don’t be surprised if you do see a few light sprinkles this morning on the windshield.

Winds will pick up out of the South 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts possible. Since we haven’t seen much rain recently, the combination of dry conditions and gusty winds will elevate fire danger today and Monday.

The good news is rain does return to the forecast. We need to be patient though as our best chance to pick up measureable precipitation won’t arrive until the end of the work week and into next weekend!

Have a GREAT Sunday!
