Suchan Says: Few Tuesday Showers

Monday brought full sunshine, a strong gusty wind and very warm temperatures.  Tuesday will begin the process of introducing moisture into our skies in the form of patchy clouds with a couple of showers possible or even just sprinkles.

A tiny upper air disturbance will track right over us in the middle of the day.  This feature should be strong enough to develop scattered clouds and that small 20% chance of rain in Tuesday’s forecast.  I do expect enough breaks of afternoon sun to move in allowing for another big bump in temperatures to the upper 70s to near 80.

Wednesday again brings intervals of clouds with some sunshine and a 20% chance of sprinkles or a few showers.  Highs should easily warm into the upper 70s for another day.  In the evening, mostly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers possible for those interested in going to the Sporting KC game.

Thursday turns mostly cloudy and will have a 30% chance of rain.  I took note of a little more instability in the atmosphere to support a better chance for a little thunder too.  Highs in the mid to upper 70s.

The highest rain chance is from Thursday night through Friday as the large upper low currently in the Southwest moves across the area.   The chance for rain will increase to 70% during this stretch and the potential for a solid .50″ to 1.50″ of rain is in the forecast depending on where t-storms with locally heavier rain move.

  1. I made a blogger account a few months ago, and i added some pictures to my sidebar and don’t know how to remove them. I used the image hosting site ‘Photobucket’ to put the pictures on my blog, and put my login information there nd they did it for me. I don’t like how one of the pictures look and I really want to remove/delete it. Help? Thanks..
