Hawila’s Heads-Up: Rain & Wind

We enjoyed another fantastic start to the weekend with highs in the 60s and sunshine. It’s hard ask for much more than that this time of the year! (Temps this afternoon below)

Sunday will be another decent day with a few notable changes. The first change will be increasing clouds throughout the day. We will start with a good amount of sunshine and turn mostly cloudy by the evening. Temperatures will remain comfortable for this time of the year.

The second change will be the wind. A strong south wind will howl into the area sustained at 15-25 MPH throughout the day. Gusts at times will be as high as 35 MPH

This is all ahead of our next chance for rain. Showers are expected to break out across the area overnight Sunday and into Monday. It looks like it could be a wet Monday drive back to work and school. The best chance of rain this week is Tuesday. Widespread showers and thundershowers are expected and some of the rain could be heavy at times. In addition, we are expecting it to remain rather windy for the next several days.
