Suchan Says: Thanksgiving Soaker

After a sunny albeit much cooler weekend, Monday turned the corner into some very mild air with temperatures pushing into the lower 60s!  We will dial up another beauty Tuesday before things begin to go downhill in the forecast.

Wednesday will turn cloudy on us and appears there is just enough moisture through the day to produce times of mist or drizzle.  By Wednesday evening a few showers are likely.  Fortunately I do not expect a heavy rain for travel Wednesday and whatever falls is liquid.  We’re not worried about ice.

Thanksgiving just looks like a washout.  Every single computer model I analyze has all the components in place for a widespread rain event with even a little lightning possible (no severe concerns).  Temperatures start the day on the mild side then fall later in the afternoon as a cold front drifts across.  We’ll be in the lower to mid 40s by the evening with more rain.

Here are some forecast images highlighting the next three days.

Great looking Tuesday!

Overcast Wednesday with times of drizzle or a few rain showers

Soggy Thanksgiving!

Coming up Tuesday late evening in our 10:00pm newscast I will release our 2015 – 2016 winter weather outlook.  It’s a big El Nino year but there are many other elements to analyze to formulate some thoughts on this upcoming winter.
