Amble’s Ramble

November is officially in our rear view mirror and I’m pretty happy about it. It was another very wet month and even though it may seem like it’s been raining forever the month actually started out very dry. The first 2 weeks of November only saw a little over 1/10th of an inch of rain. Lawns were stressed and cracks were forming in the ground from the lack of moisture. By the middle of the month the first heavy rain arrived soaking the area with nearly an inch and a half of rain, most of that falling on the 17th. By the end of the month our skies became overcast and on Thanksgiving day a record 1.61″ of rain fell at KCI with many reporting over 2″ across the Metro. The following days were wet too adding to our November total which came in more than double the average rainfall for the month.

Need a break? You’ll get it with no serious chance for rain over the first 8 days of December.
