Hawila’s Heads-Up: Back To Reality?

I came across this funny picture on Facebook the other day. It perfectly sums up the last several weeks of ups and downs we’ve been having.

A more winter-like feel is on the way as we head into the second half of the workweek. But first, let’s get rid of this rain! Significant rainfall totals have been found across the entire viewing area. Most locations within the metro saw at least 1.5″ with many reporting more than 2″ (especially in Johnson County). Here’s a look at radar estimated totals and some reports from the area.

More scattered showers are expected to continue all evening and even into Monday morning. Despite hit and miss light showers and sprinkles, the Monday morning commute shouldn’t have many issues. But roads will be wet. Rain chances start winding down Monday afternoon, and we may even get to sneak in a peek of sunshine before sunset.
