Suchan Says: December Cold Returns

It certainly won’t be record breaking cold but after a month of very warm temperatures, anything closer to normal will feel that much colder to you.  So get set for a rare stretch of coats on a daily basis unlike the “optional” coat days we’ve enjoyed.

The high for the day is now.  Midnight temperatures are in the upper 40s and falling from here.

Midnight temperatures starting to cool

By sunrise Wednesday, lows will dip to near freezing and with a gusty breeze, it will feel like it’s in the lower to mid 20s.

Low pressure to our north pushing in cooler and drier air tonight. Rain stays in eastern Missouri overnight

We’ll see a good amount of sunshine through the day with scattered fair weather clouds.  Highs will reach near 41 with a gusty breeze making it feel cooler.

Thursday has a weak upper air system passing by to our southwest.  This should generate patchy clouds for mostly cloudy skies and a slight 10% chance for a few snow flurries especially in our southern zones later in the day.

Thursday Afternoon with increasing clouds and cold

Few late flurries possible Thursday
