Teachman’s Take: Rain For Now — Snow By The Weekend

Cloudy with drizzle and rain showers throughout the day.  Temperatures are safely above freezing today, so we don’t have to worry about any icy stuff.  This morning we’re in the upper 30s and should warm a little more into the middle 40s this afternoon.

Overnight, cloudy with cool temps in the upper 30s.  More rain showers likely heading into Friday.  Temperatures will remain well above freezing in the middle 40s.  By Saturday, it looks like enough moisture will be leftover to greet the Arctic air that’s on the way.  Light snowfall accumulations are possible with anywhere from a dusting to 1″ across the Storm Track 5 area.  There will be further updates and tweaks to this as the track of this storm becomes better defined within the next 24 hours.

Highs for the weekend will be frigid in the 20s with lows in the single digits.  It will be hard to break this pattern heading into next week, although some slight modifications (warming) will occur.

Take care,

Teach
