Hawila’s Heads-Up: Tuesday Snow

For much of the KCTV5 viewing area, it’s a dry start to the morning. The exception comes northeast of the metro where a few flurries and snow showers are falling this morning. Watch for a few slick spots in these areas.

The main event arrives this afternoon. Latest data continues to suggest a good burst of snow to move into the metro around 3PM, through the evening rush. Below is an image from a hi resolution model’s simulated radar at 3 PM and 5 PM.

Total snow in the metro is still expected to be around 2″ with isolated higher totals found NE of KC.

We will continue to monitor this snow all morning and have the latest, in-depth coverage of this winter blast for you here on KCTV5.com and on our newscasts.
