Hawila’s Heads-Up: More Snow

As advertised all week, Tuesday afternoon’s commute home was a nightmare as ice and snow blanketed the area. Road crews were hard at work all night and have left road conditions this morning in really decent shape, but you still need extra time to get to work. Bridges, overpasses, and ramps are especially slick in spots across the area.

We’re not done yet.

Another round of winter weather is headed in late tonight and into Thursday morning. The metro should expect similar snow totals to what we saw Tuesday. Heftier totals are expected west of the metro. Up to 4″ could fall in Topeka. For this reason, the NWS has some of our Kansas Counties under a winter weather advisory. We’ll continue to monitor this incoming snow all day.
