Storm

Massive winter storm with even a few flurries in far north Florida!

Stepping into the weekend forecast and we’re about to turn the corner on finally temperatures going above freezing.  We’ve endured 6-straight days stuck below freezing with the coldest part of the stretch early in the week with the arctic air mass!

Ready for a break from the cold ?!

Saturday starts with quite a bit of cloudiness and cold temperatures in the teens.  Skies will slowly turn partly cloudy later in the afternoon which should allow temperatures to get a boost into the lower to mid 30s.

Sunday will bring a mix of clouds and sun along with a breezy south wind.  Temperatures should get a big boost above freezing topping out in the lower to mid 40s!

Sunday afternoon

The next system to pass across the area arrives Monday.  Areas of drizzle or very light rain will develop in the region which could make for some wet streets early in the morning.  Temperatures are likely to stay well above freezing keeping concerns for icy roads to a minimum.

Later in the day, cloudy skies remain with a few flurries or a couple of sleet pellets possible as the system moves away and temperatures gradually cool down.

Late next week a major warm up will occur and offer a true January thaw to the area!  Temperatures will climb well into the 40s Thursday then into the 50s to near 60 by next Friday!!  Some of this warmth will linger into next weekend too.
