Suchan Says: Frigid Start to Weekend

What it feels like at midnight (tonight)

Our brief brush with an extremely cold chunk of Arctic air will set us back Saturday if you’re a big fan of warmer than normal winter temperatures.   Our viewing area will start with single digits to lower teens around the area and factor in the breeze, it will feel like it’s 0 to -10 across the area.

Skies turn mostly cloudy for much of the day with times of some filtered sunshine possible.  A few snow flurries in northern Missouri later in the day are possible as well.  Highs will reach into the mid 20s.

Sunday Early Morning: Cloudy with patchy freezing mist, a little sleet or snow possible especially to the north and east from KC

Sunday Afternoon: Mix clouds and sun with milder temperatures

Sunday starts cloudy with patchy freezing mist, a few spots of light sleet or even a little snow.  Best chance to see snow is in northern and central Missouri.  While I’m not expecting much accumulation, it would be in these areas well north of the metro or to the east where a light accumulation could occur before drying out and warming up later in the day.
