Suchan Says: Quick Shot at Some Rain

Satellite

System in Nebraska heading toward our area

A fast moving, compact system will move into the area overnight with scattered rain showers likely.  Any chance of a wintry mix with some wet snow will remain confined to the northern third of our viewing area late into daybreak Tuesday.  Essentially, near or north of Highway 36 could see a little snow mix with the rain before ending.

Patchy rain for the morning drive. Some snow mixing in up north

Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s through sunrise.  So roads are just wet.  By later in the day, breaks of sun mix in with the patchy cloudiness and a gusty northwest wind will keep highs in the 40s for much of the area.

Breaks of sun with patchy clouds late day

Temperatures are ready to soar starting Wednesday!  Thursday through Saturday will be near record highs.  The only concern Thursday will be a strong gusty wind, warm temperatures and dry air in place.  This combination warrants attention toward Fire Weather concerns.

WarmUp

Unseasonably warm stretch into the weekend!!
