Suchan Says: Spotty Showers Then Colder

After a warm finish to February today, a shot of colder air is on the way with an opportunity to get our hands on a little rain.  Unfortunately as I see it now, rainfall amounts will be on the lighter side as the storm of interest will get its act together east of our viewing area where a more significant rain is possible.

Clouds moving in and soon to follow will be rain showers

Later this evening, sprinkles and rain showers will move into the area and last for much of the night before heading out before sunrise.  There is a narrow window of opportunity for a rumble of thunder in our southern zones tonight and if this occurs, there could be slightly higher rainfall amounts in this region.

Typically two of our drier months in the year but we’re still below average early this year

The rest of Tuesday has breaks of sun through patchy clouds.  It will be much colder with highs in the lower to mid 40s and a gusty breeze making it feel colder at times.

Wednesday will briefly warm into the upper 50s to near 60 before a late day chance of some rain showers moves in with our next system.  Wednesday night into Thursday morning will have scattered showers in the forecast.  I expect a .10″ to .33″ of rain with this second system.
