Hawila’s Heads-Up: Major Changes

It was a frosty start to the weekend as temperatures across the area dropped into the upper 20s. Thanks to an upper low and breaks in the clouds this afternoon, a few snow and rain showers developed . We even saw reports of a quick dusting that rapidly melted in St. Joe! Gardeners should plan on temperatures falling back into the upper 20s and lower 30s by Sunday morning. Temps just after 8 PM were already approaching the freezing mark.

The forecast Sunday looks to be another chilly day with highs struggling to reach 50°. Clouds will start to slowly break for the second half of the day. It’ll be a bit breezy too with gusts as high as 20 MPH at times. As for the evening plans tomorrow… Things look calm just chilly! Grab something warm if you’re headed out to the Sporting KC game tomorrow night.

We have some major swings in temperatures coming over the next several days. A BIG warm up is expected for the first half of the workweek, followed by another substantial cool down.
