Hawila’s Heads-Up: Bad Hair Days

Big changes will roar in for the first half of the week… just in time for things to change AGAIN for the second half. Let me explain…  Three things you’ll notice tomorrow as you head back to work: more sunshine, very windy and much warmer. A strong south wind (gusting 30 to 40 MPH at times) will help the sunshine boost temperatures into the middle 60s. But, first, it’s a cold start to the morning.

The wind will not let up anytime soon. Wind gusts will still be in the 30 MPH or better range through Wednesday. The south wind draws in some seriously warm air Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the middle and upper 70s. Showers and storms are possible Wednesday as a strong system passes by. A bout of severe weather is possible in southern Missouri with this setup. Colder air will pull in behind Wednesday’s system and bring a chance for rain or snow showers by Thursday as temperatures crash hard. Highs Thursday will only reach the middle 40s. Enjoy the wild ride of weather this week.
