Hawila’s Heads-Up: Dramatically Different Day

This Easter morning, the area woke up to a minor accumulating snow on cars, rooftops, and grassy surfaces. And, like we do in the Midwest, we embraced it! Check out this collection of YOUR pictures from today. Here are a couple of kids enjoying their snowy Easter.

After the sun broke out, it became a dramatically different day in the afternoon. The snow melted and temperatures soared into the low to mid 50s across the area.

Looking ahead
We have Freeze Warning in effect for much of the area through 10 AM Monday. Temperatures overnight will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s across the area.

After a frosty start to the workweek, tomorrow afternoon looks really nice! Sunshine and light southerly breeze will bring temperatures into the middle 60s.

Our next best chance of rain arrives Wednesday with scattered showers and storms. There is a slight risk some storms could be strong to severe, but right now. the basic ingredients for a significant severe weather event locally are just not adding up. We will continue to monitor all week.
