It’s going to be a cold start to the day Friday with lows just above freezing. If winds are light enough, a few areas of light frost will be possible too.
The afternoon looks nice albeit on the windy side again. However I do not expect to see wind gusts as strong as Thursday. Gusts in the 30 – 35mph appear likely but it’s doubtful we’ll go above 40mph.
Skies will be mostly sunny with just enough moisture still in place to develop widely scattered fair weather clouds. High temperatures reach near 61.
The Royals’ game looks chilly once the sun sets. Make sure you have layers for the back half of the game as the temperature falls into the mid 40s!
Saturday starts with a possible freeze as winds go light Friday night and skies are mostly clear. The only question I have, will we see scattered clouds push in late to keep temperatures a few degrees warmer. As I see it now, we should plan on dipping near or just below freezing with some areas of frost likely.
The afternoon looks good with mostly to partly sunny skies and highs in the 50s to lower 60s.
Sunday starts fairly cloudy with an isolated shower in the morning. Breaks of sunshine build in by the afternoon bumping temperatures well into the 70s. The day will finish with scattered showers or thunderstorms into the evening. A couple of these storms could be strong with large hail and wind gusts. The atmosphere looks unstable and there will be some measure of wind shear in place. Although right now it looks more “unidirectional” to me which typically results in hail or wind.
