Here we go! The hottest stretch of weather of 2016 is likely to settle in for next week. Tuesday will be the only exception. First of all, the ample sunshine today did some serious work to our temperatures. We climbed into the low to mid 80s across the area this afternoon, but the humidity was rather low making it a relatively enjoyable warmth.
Monday brings a comparably warm day with highs expected in the middle 80s. We’re also tracking a very small chance for a shower or storm in the afternoon as a cold front slices southward through the area. It’s timing at peak heating could allow for just enough ‘jucie’ to kick up a shower or storm, but coverage will remain isolated in nature. The chance lies between 4 and 8 PM mainly in our central and southern zones.
This frontal passage brings temperatures down into the upper 70s Tuesday with ample sunshine. Tuesday looks to be the nicest day of the week!
THE HEAT IS ON!
Once we enter midweek, the heat and humidity begin cranking up. 90s are expected by the end of the week and into next weekend.
