Suchan Says: Heat Rolls In

Here we go, the worst kept secret in Kansas City for the past 5 to 7 days as we’ve been advertising the likely hot pattern to take hold and move in.  Keep in mind, this same stretch of heat in July or August doesn’t generate the same headlines as it does in early to mid June when average highs are still climbing through the low to mid 80s.  This is early season consecutive days of hot weather which can catch folks off guard that are not adjusted to summer-like heat.

Thursday is dry, breezy with plenty of sun and a high near 90.  Humidity levels will make it feel 2 to 3 degrees hotter as well.

Friday pumps up into the lower 90s with a bit more humidity.  It will feel like it’s in the mid to upper 90s when you factor in the humidity.  The chance of rain Friday is a very low end 10% chance.  There could be just enough moisture in place to pop off a random late shower or sprinkle.  But in general, not expecting much rain as of now.

The weekend continues the theme of hot weather with only a slight 10% chance of rain early Saturday and again late Sunday.  Temperatures both days in the lower to even mid 90s with southerly breezes.
