Suchan Says: Hot Weekend

Two days straight of 90+ heat and a couple more are certainly ahead through the weekend.  Temperatures both days will easily reach the lower to mid 90s across the entire area and feel about 4 to 5 degrees hotter when you factor in the humidity.

There’s a very slight chance of rain in far northern Missouri Saturday as thunderstorms in Iowa weakening as they move south could push an outflow boundary of cooler, drier air toward the Iowa to Missouri border.  This could be enough of a focus to spark off a couple showers or a thunderstorm through sunrise.

Otherwise the rest of the area is dry until very late in the day where a shower or storm could develop again as you near the Iowa border in far northern Missouri.  Quite possibly a better chance in northeastern Missouri out of our viewing area.

Sunday’s rain chance remains at 10%.  Of note, southern Missouri could see an increased 30% to 40% chance of showers or storms late Sunday if heading down south.

Great pool or lake weather Saturday!
