It’s going to be another HOT day! Highs in the low to mid 90s with higher humidity will make it feel as hot as 95 to 100 this afternoon. There’s no clear sign of any major relief from this heat in the near or mid-range forecast. Here’s a look at how warm it was at 10 AM. Toasty.
Rain chances increase for the first half of the workweek.
Monday brings the chance for a few hit and miss showers or storms, but severe weather is not anticipated. The best chance of rain this week is Tuesday. Tuesday also brings the threat for severe storms in the late afternoon and evening. Currently, we’re outlined for a slight risk for severe storms. There could be several rounds Tuesday with the first being a morning threat for a few storms to roll in after convection well to our west migrates eastward. Then, a few storms during the late afternoon could reach severe limits with all hazards on the table, but primarily a wind and hail threat… An eventual evolution into a more linear fashion, damaging wind threat will unfold in the evening. Forecast Track shows the line of storms that could bring areas of damaging winds late Tuesday. More updates on this threat soon.
