Few storms still in southern part of our area. Larger area of rain moving southeast away from region through midnight

After a blazing hot Wednesday, attention turns to not only a hot Thursday but a more humid afternoon and evening too which will make it feel much hotter than Wednesday!  Given this, an Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the afternoon to mid-evening and will be in effect again on Friday.
