June thus far is running around 4.5 to 5 degrees warmer than normal and that’s probably no surprise to you! The recent weather pattern has brought a true mid summer sizzle to the region and that continues Friday.
A Heat Advisory is once again in effect for the area through the afternoon to mid-evening.
Temperatures will range from the lower 90s in the eastern third of the area to the mid 90s in our western stretch of counties in eastern Kansas. Skies are mostly sunny with the best chance for showers or storms well to the west or northwest of the area.
The weekend is dry but still toasty hot. Highs on Saturday around 90 which may feel a bit better to you. Overnight lows will also dip into the 60s through the weekend. Father’s Day Sunday will warm into the lower 90s.
