We are keeping a close eye on a couple of chances for storms today. This morning, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible as a complex of rain arrives from the west. It feels steamy this morning in the middle 70s. This chance for storms should wrap up by lunch. Highs will be in the lower 90s with a heat index around 102. Then it looks like storms will try to develop along I-70 through sunset. These storms could produce gusty winds, large hail and heavy amounts of rain. Rain will linger through the overnight and flooding could become a problem.
More storms likely from Thursday through the weekend. It won’t be a complete washout, but heavy rain will be a concern. Temperatures will take a slight Friday and Saturday into the lower 80s. The 90s will return by Sunday and stick around all of next week.
