Williams’s Wrap: Last Day of Tolerable Temps

Besides a couple of stray t-storms in the region, Saturday starts dry, clear, and cool for many of us.  A 30% chance for rain or a t-storm shouldn’t keep you inside because temperatures are going to feel fantastic compared to what’s ahead.  Highs reach the mid 80s by the afternoon with more of a mixture of clouds and sun.  Our best opportunity for rain comes during the afternoon, between noon and 6pm.  Any showers/storms that pop up will be hit or miss in nature.  Once we start heading into the evening we’ll dry back out as temperatures drop into the low 80s and upper 70s.

During the overnight and early Sunday morning, there will be another slim chance for rain.  Mainly for areas north of I-70.  By early Sunday, the Metro could get clipped by a quick shower but it’s looking like we’ll stay dry.  Temperatures heat back up into the 90s to close out the weekend.  A stretch of 90s through the upcoming week will meet criteria for a heat wave.  Heat indices will easily reach a range of 100-110 during this time.
