It seems like everyone except the Metro has gotten a passing shower or thunderstorm these past few days, and as we head towards the weekend we’ll continue to see those hit or miss chances. Thursday evening will be mainly dry but a few rumbles of thunder will still be found well to the south and east of the Metro. Especially out west over Kansas too.
An isolated shower/t-storm is possible Thursday night and through Friday but widespread activity doesn’t look likely. We’ll also start the weekend a few degrees cooler with highs reaching the low to mid 80s. Compared to a normal July day, that’s going to feel very nice.
Slim rain chances continue Saturday and Sunday with highs around the mid 80s. Enjoy these conditions while they last because starting Monday, we’ll enter another hot and humid pattern. The jet stream shifts further to the north and allows much warmer air to build into the region. Expect consecutive days of highs in the 90s next week.
