Williams’s Wrap: Wet Weekend?

Friday’s feel has definitely been nice.  Normally, highs are supposed to be in the upper 80s but we’ll only make it to the mid 80s today.  There’s still a pretty slim chance for an isolated shower/t-storm to develop but those chances decrease as we head into the evening.

ForecastTrack4

Temperatures through the weekend remain comfy and slightly below normal.  Expect highs around the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday.  Even though it will feel nice there’s still a chance that some of the weekend could be damp.  Saturday only brings a 20% chance for a few showers/t-storms.  We’ll see a similar set up to what played out Thursday night.  Most of the rain in the region will likely move south and west around the Metro.  Kansas City could still get clipped by a shower/t-storm as this happens though.

Sunday brings a slightly better chance for rain (40%).  A few showers/t-storms will be possible mainly during the morning and afternoon.  A warm front lifts over the region through Sunday and will bring a another slight chance for rain during the evening and overnight.  Some leftover showers are possible Monday morning, but the big story as we start another work week will be the heat.  By Monday afternoon, we’ll begin another stretch of hot weather with highs in the mid and upper 90s.

The weekend doesn’t look to be a washout so I wouldn’t cancel any plans that you have.  But if you plan on being outside just keep an eye to the sky.  Have an umbrella at the ready, and when thunder roars, go indoors.
