Williams’s Wrap: Dry Conditions Greet Chiefs Fans

Mother nature couldn’t have given Chiefs fans a better day for the first day of practice open to the public.  Practice starts at 3:30pm but those who want to head to St. Joseph a little early won’t have anything to worry about as most of the day stays dry.  Highs will be slightly below normal and reach the mid to upper 80s which will feel comfortable, but could feel a little warmer if in direct sunlight so I’d still keep some water nearby.

For the Metro and areas south, there’s a slight chance for an isolated shower/t-storm, mainly  later in the afternoon and evening.  But that chance will be hit or miss and I suspect any activity the region sees will move to our south and west, skimming the viewing area.  A better chance for rain and some rumbles of thunder move in overnight and Sunday morning.

Chiefs fans won’t be as lucky Sunday as the chance for rain will extend into St. Joseph.  Showers/t-storms will be scattered and should start to taper off in the afternoon.  Highs will once again reach the mid to upper 80s under partly cloudy skies.  Even though we won’t get as much sunshine Sunday, it will still be a day to enjoy before 90s return Monday.
