Teachman’s Take: Flooding To Intense Heat

Heavy rains are tracking to the east of Kansas City this morning. Some storms will build back closer to the metro. However, flooding concerns are high in places that have experienced the training of thunderstorms.  In areas like Carrollton, Marshall and Sedalia radar estimates are around 3″ to 6″ so far. Rain will continue to fall in similar areas through 9 AM. By noon, storms will depart and skies will clear. Highs will be in the lower 90s and feel like 101.

Temperatures will continue to heat up this week. Highs will stay in the 90s and feel like 100.  There’s a slim chance for a shower or thunderstorm in northern Missouri early Tuesday and Wednesday.  Otherwise, we will remain dry until next weekend.  When those rains move in, temperatures will back off into the upper 80s.
