Teachman’s Take: Big Temperatures, Slim Rain Risk

Tuesday will start off with an isolated chance for a pop-up shower or storm in the metro.  Although it looks like northern Missouri stands a better chance for picking up any rain during the morning.  Otherwise, it will be a warm start with sun and clouds.  This afternoon, a shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out with most locations remaining dry.  Highs will be hot in the middle 90s with heat indices above 100 — that’s why a Heat Advisory is in effect today.

There’s another chance for a shower or storm early Wednesday morning.  Highs by the afternoon will be toasty again in the middle 90s and heat indices well over 100.  It gets even hotter by Thursday at 98.  Cooler temps with increasing rain chances will greet us Friday through the weekend.  Highs will fall back into the upper 80s and lower 90s.
