Teachman’s Take: Foggy Morning To Afternoon Heat

Expect areas of fog and low overcast skies for the Wednesday morning drive.  Plenty of steam to start the day with temperatures in the middle 70s.  Once clouds start to break later in the morning, temperatures will turn toasty.  Highs will climb into the middle 90s with heat indices as high as 105.  If any rain develops during the afternoon, it will be southeast of the metro, including cities such as Warrensburg, Sedalia and Clinton.

Thursday will be our hottest day of the week.  With mostly sunny skies, highs will climb well into the upper 90s.  Rain chances arrive well after dark and extend into Friday.  This marks a cool down from Friday through the weekend.  More chances for storms are in store Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Any rain should depart by next Tuesday as highs heat back up into the 90s.
