Suchan Says: Cooler With Some Rain

Rain

Storms active before midnight in northern Missouri

A cold front is pushing into the northern tier of the viewing area kicking up storms with frequent lightning and downpours.  The severe risk tonight is rather low but a storm or two with brief wind gusts remains possible.

There are additional showers and t-storms in central Kansas moving east.  They will likely work along the cold front into our area late and through Friday morning.

Radar2

Friday is a significantly cooler day behind the cold front along with patchy cloudiness and some showers or thunder.  Highs only reach into the mid 80s in the KC metro with even cooler readings in northern sections.

The chance of rain will decrease through the day too.  It starts rather high at 60% then drops to 20% by Friday evening if you’re going to be heading out or to the Royals game.

ForecastTrack3

Morning: 60% rain or thunder in the area

Near Midday: 40% Rain

Late Afternoon: 20% Rain chance

The weekend will likely have a similar trend where the highest rain chance is in the first half of the day then is more isolated late.
