With a cold front well to our south, cooler air has been given enough time to REALLY settle into the region. Highs are expected to reach the low 80s Saturday afternoon but they’ll have a hard time getting there. With stormy activity mainly over southern Kansas and Missouri, there’s a slight chance for an isolated shower to develop north of the pack and head our way, but Saturday will be a dry one for many of us.
Late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, a batch of moisture to our west will move into the area and bring a good chance for some showers and possibly a few rumbles of thunder. Our window of opportunity for wet conditions will last through Sunday morning and into the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies and another period of scattered cooling showers will bring high temperatures down to the upper 70s by Sunday afternoon.
