Williams’s Wrap: Calm Before The Storm

If you want to spend some time outside Thursday evening, it’s still going to be pretty warm with temperatures in the 80s.  With just a few clouds in the sky, we’ll have another opportunity for some nice sunsets around the area.  Lows fall around the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies.

Friday’s start will be a repeat of Thursday’s.  Cool, quiet, and calm.  Skies will be mostly sunny through the day and it’s still going to be pretty hot with highs easily reaching the upper 80s.  I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of spots hit 90.  Friday evening is when things will start to change.

A cold front will bring the chance for showers/t-storms to the western edge of our viewing area early Friday evening.  The Metro will have a pretty good chance for storms shortly before midnight and into the overnight.  Some storms could be strong to severe and bring high wind gusts, downpours, and hail.  This is when the worst of the storms will occur.  After 2am they’ll lose their “punch” and start to weaken.  The cold front won’t pass through completely until early Saturday morning.  This will lead to a few lingering showers early in the day, but we’ll dry out from there.  Full on sunshine returns by Sunday with highs much cooler in the upper 70s/low 80s over the weekend.
