Our main line of storms has developed along the cold front and now stretches from southeast NE into central KS. Besides a few pop up showers in the area, the “main show” is still expected to move in later tonight.
Storms will enter NWMO and NEKS first and then proceed through the viewing area in a southeastward fashion. The strongest of storms looks to be between 8pm and 12am, and that’s for the entire viewing area. So we’ll likely see a set up like this…
Around 7pm-8pm – Storms enter the viewing area…
10pm – Showers/storms make their way through the Metro…
12am – Strongest storms move out…
After 12am, storms will weaken and we’ll just have a few showers/rolls of thunder leftover from the main line. But lingering showers will stick around through early Saturday with a few sprinkles possible into the afternoon. Skies turn partly sunny though and the day will definitely have a “fall feel”. Highs only reach the mid/upper 70s with a decent breeze out of the northwest at 15-25 mph.
