Teachman’s Take: Today’s Severe Outlook

SEVERE WX UPDATE:  There will be another chance for thunderstorms any time after 4 PM.  The risk area for today has now shifted to the north, now including much of our DMA – including the metro.  Large hail and damaging winds cannot be ruled out.  There is an isolated risk for a brief spin-up tornado.  And with the type of environment we’re in, heavy rain and frequent lightning are definitely concerns as well.    Highs today will be humid and warm in the lower 80s.

Radar2

Chances for storms will linger each day through next Wednesday.  It won’t be a washout each day, but heavy rain is a possibility with any thunderstorm along with frequent lightning.  Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s through next week.  Lows will be in the upper 60s.

Take care,

Teach
