Suchan Says: Tuesday Rain Chance

As we cruise into Tuesday’s forecast, you should plan on taking an umbrella with you to start the day.  It just might come in handy at some point as our viewing area will see a scattering of showers and thunderstorms.

A cold front is slipping south during the day but will not move into the area until late Wednesday.  Ahead of this boundary, a healthy supply of moisture will be strung out across the area and with a little daytime heating, showers and thunderstorms should readily develop.

Overall severe weather parameters are pretty lackluster.  So while a brief strong to severe “pulse” type summer storm is possible, I’m not expecting organized storms with more widespread severe potential.

Royals game in the evening will have some risk of a rain trying to impact the game especially near first pitch.  While I believe we’ll get a baseball game in, I certainly could not rule out a rain-delay for a passing shower or weak storm.

The big payoff this week?!  Cold front pushes through by 5pm Wednesday with a drop in humidity, clearing skies and cooler autumn-like temperatures!
