Teachman’s Take: Scattered Storms Continue

There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect for northeast KS and NW Missouri, including the cities of Atchison, St. Joseph and Maryville through 7 PM today.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be hit or miss today through early evening.  It won’t be a complete washout, but heavy rain is likely under any thunderstorm.  The high today will be 83.

After sundown, looks like the skies will calm down for a few hours.  More scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop on Wednesday.  Once again, heavy rain is likely.  Highs will drop slightly into the upper 70s.  Sunshine dominates with refreshing air Thursday through Saturday.  Highs will be near 80 with overnight lows in the upper 50s!  Unsettled skies return late Sunday and into Labor Day.

Take care,
