Williams’s Wrap: Cooler & Drier

We’re in the middle of a pattern change.  Things are going to go from cloudy and wet to sunny and cool.  There are still a few showers in the area but they’ll continue to push south of I-70 through the rest of Thursday.  Skies will gradually clear through the evening which will turn into great weather for anyone going to Kauffman Stadium for the Royals vs. Yankees game.  Evening temperatures will fall from the upper 70s into the low 70s, and eventually into the 50s overnight!

Thursday is the start to Meteorological Fall and it will definitely feel like it.  It will be the first rain-free day we’ve had in a little while.  There will be plenty of sunshine but with dominant winds out of the east and northeast, temperatures will go through an uphill battle just to make it to the upper 70s.  The evening will also be another great one for sports events, especially the Chiefs vs. Packers game at Arrowhead Stadium.

The start to September will continue to be cool with highs in the upper 70s Friday and Saturday.
