Suchan Says: Rain Chance Back in Forecast

Showers and thunderstorms to the northwest and west of the region… gradually moving in our direction

Wednesday brings back the chance of some showers or thunder to the forecast after a string of dry, sunny days.  The day is certainly not a washout and in fact, I could see areas southeast of the metro in Missouri not seeing a drop of rain until late in the evening into Wednesday night.  In these areas, temperatures are likely to reach into the lower to mid 90s.

Meanwhile from the KC metro and points north, the chance of showers or thunderstorms will increase as you travel north – northwest.  An isolated strong storm cannot be ruled out as well with small hail and brief wind gusts.  Temperatures up to the northwest should hold in the mid 80s.  In the metro, upper 80s to near 90 will be possible.

Thursday starts with showers or thunderstorms across the southern half of the area followed by a lull in rain except for far southern sections during the afternoon.  Showers and thunderstorms likely move back into the area late evening Thursday into Friday morning.  Temperatures Thursday could hold in the 70s with enough clouds but if we realize decent breaks of sun, we’ll see mid 80s fairly easily.

Chiefs game on Sunday still looks fantastic!
